End Line Workers of the Pandemic

Commissioned by the University of Melbourne’s DeathTech Research Team, this photo story of Death Doula Mariam Ardati, documents her work in death care during the covid-19 crisis.

Mariam performs the funeral rites in accordance with Islamic tradition, provides spiritual and practical care to the grieving, and assists families through the coroner’s court and its processes.
